Maricopa, Arizona: An Oasis Of Home Affordability

You’ve heard of Maricopa County, but what about the city of Maricopa? About 30 minutes southwest of Chandler lies this oasis of housing affordability, home to just shy of 50,000 residents. Affordable homes in master planned communities have been a draw to the city, which experienced a boom in new development in the early 2000’s before it was hit hard by the housing recession. It’s taken awhile, but Maricopa is coming back, and coming back strong. With the help of programs like Pathway to Purchase, buyers are again seeing great value in Maricopa real estate. The same homes built by the same builders closer in to the metropolitan Phoenix area can easily be found in Maricopa for 70% of the price. Parks, Lakes, and the championship Duke Golf Course, named for John Wayne who owned ranches in the area, are just a few of the amenities offered in a town providing excellent new build and resale home-ownership opportunities.
